Miguel Valenciano
Senior Consultant, PRISM International

Miguel is recognized nationally and internationally for his extensive work in the area of diversity and inclusion as well as cross cultural effectiveness. He is a dynamic and energetic facilitator and trainer who successfully works with both the private and public sectors in addressing cross cultural and diversity issues. His easy-going personality and responsiveness to the participants make his training sessions rewarding and unique learning experiences.

Over the last several years, Miguel has developed and facilitated training on several continents, for fortune 500 and Global 1000 organizations.

Miguel has firsthand experience and knowledge of the changing demographics impacting communities and the workplace. As an educator, administrator and a businessman, Miguel recognizes the need to embrace these changes and works to help corporations and individuals work productively, respectfully and inclusively  to reap the benefits of a diverse workforce.

Miguel is a native speaker in Spanish and is versed in French and Italian.  He has lived and worked around the globe in countries such as Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, Peru, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Palau, Marshall Islands, Philippines, Indonesia, Samoa, Tonga and many of the eastern European countries.

As a PRISM Senior Team Member, Miguel has worked with IBM, Verizon Wireless, Siemens, Alaska Air, Michelin, First Interstate Bank, BP Amoco, John Deere, and many, many other projects over the last twelve years.

He received his Master of Arts in Education from the University of Oregon and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Costa Rica
